Here's what to expect when you schedule an EcoPower Solutions home energy & safety audit.
Reach out by phone or email and we'll confirm a time that works for your household.
We arrive with testing equipment, inspect your home, and document our findings.
We review what we found, what it means, and which fixes deliver the most benefit.
We match your recommended work to BGE/EmPOWER rebates, CEA financing, and any other programs you may qualify for.
You decide how to proceed. We can perform eligible work and support you through funding and follow-up.
We combine diagnostic testing with building science to uncover issues you can't always see — but definitely feel on your bills and in your home.
Gas sniffers, ambient CO checks, and combustion testing for furnaces, boilers, and water heaters.
Air, water, and gas leaks in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and around doors and windows.
Insulation levels, attic conditions, and ventilation that affect comfort and mold risk.
Heaters, AC units, thermostats, bath fans, and exhaust systems that move air through your home.
Visible wiring, panels, and piping issues that may indicate safety or moisture problems.
Major appliances and equipment that may qualify for swap programs or efficiency incentives.
Note: EcoPower audits are assessment-only. We do not perform on-the-spot repairs during the audit visit. Our job is to test, document, and guide your next steps.
Our audits are designed to find issues before they turn into costly emergencies or safety hazards.
Poor venting, cracked heat exchangers, backdrafting, and other issues that can put your household at risk.
Ignored: emergency calls, health risks, property damageLeaks, condensation, and humidity problems that can lead to mold, rot, and structural damage over time.
Ignored: mold cleanup, drywall & flooring replacementGaps, air leaks, and insulation failures that make your systems work harder and cost you more every month.
Ignored: higher bills, shorter equipment lifeAfter your audit, we help connect the findings to available BGE/EmPOWER rebates and 0% CEA financing options, where eligible.
After your EcoPower audit, results go into the appropriate utility and program platforms. Based on modeled savings, work scope, and program rules, Maryland homeowners may qualify for BGE/EmPOWER rebates for improvements like:
For qualifying BGE customers, Clean Energy Advantage (CEA) loans currently offer 0% interest for up to 24 months on eligible energy upgrades, with low interest thereafter (subject to approval and program rules).
With MEA grants currently maxed out through 2026, CEA loans and utility rebates are the main tools homeowners can use right now to move projects forward.
EcoPower can help you understand how CEA loans and rebates might apply to your recommended work and what your out-of-pocket contribution may look like.
Program terms, availability, and eligibility can change over time. Final decisions are made by the lender and program administrators, not EcoPower Solutions.
BGE residential and business customers can receive a professional HVAC tune-up at no additional cost, thanks to the EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act. Regular tune-ups help your system run efficiently, save money, and improve comfort and air quality.
